TOYO TIRE (U.K.) IS TIRE MANUFACTURER OF THE YEAR! In the Tire News Industry Awards initiative, run association with the National Tire Distributors Association, Toyo was voted Tire Manufacturer of the Year 1998. This is a new tire industry trade award and Toyo Tire (U.K.) are very proud to become its' first winner.
Although last in alphabetical order, Toyo came first against some very tough competition. A spokesperson for Tire News said, " We congratulate Toyo on their success. The magazine's readers decided the result and as they are Toyo's customers, this says a great deal about the company."
It was particularly nice as over 400 tire retailers, many of whom that are owned by other manufacturers, voted for the award. I must give a special thanks to my team, whose commitment in providing a professional, efficient service to our customers has resulted in this award." The award in given to the tire manufacturer who provides products of the highest quality, whilst also offering business integrity and customer service. In winning this award Toyo Tire (U.K.) have proved they can achieve all three.

The
criteria were pretty challenging. Dealers were asked, "Which
brand combines product quality with the best in helpful, efficient
service?" In a two-stage process, the field was whittled
down to just five manufacturers Bridgestone,Continental, Goodyear,
Michelin and Toyo.
Commenting
on Toyo Tire (U.K.)'s success, Mr. Martin Sutherland, General
Manager said, " We were extremely pleased to receive this
award, which demonstrates the effort we have put into the building
of customer relationships.| |
