TOYO
TIRE CANADA
Toyo Tires have been distributed in Canada since 1973, and are
recognized in the industry as a high quality product lacking only the
very high prices expected with top quality. Toyo
built its reputation in Canada initially with its superior Off-The-Road
(OTR) tires for heavy equipment operations and Truck and Bus (TBS)
tires. However, Toyo's exceptional R&D facilities in Japan have
been producing and refining Passenger Car Radial (PCR) tires that can
only be described as state-of-the-art.
Through the use of our exclusive supercomputer, DSOCII (Dynamic
Simulation Optimized Contact Theory), tires can be designed and then refined
to meet exact requirements in handling, braking, cornering and noise levels in
wet or dry conditions, and all before the first tire mould is made.
Toyo's manufacturing plants in Japan and around the world are state-of-the-art
and most have been awarded the International Standards Organization's prestigious
international quality assurance certification known as ISO 9002. Toyo's exceptional
manufacturing quality has also been recognized on various racetracks around the
world.
Toyo Tires helped Nissan win the GTU division of the Exxon Supreme Series sanctioned
by IMSA three years in a row. Driver Bob Leitzinger says, "After we made
the decision (to race on Toyo Tires), fans would ask me. "Who is Toyo"
That's a question I no longer get. Everyone (in racing) knows
that Toyo makes a quality, competitive tire."
Toyo's dealers are just as supportive as the racing community regarding our tires.
They know that once their customer has driven on a set of Toyo Tires, they are
going to be happy campers. J. D. Powers & Associates have consistently ranked
Toyo in the top 3 of all tire manufacturers in customer satisfaction for replacement
tires.
But Toyo isn't satisfied with just making some of the best passenger car, light
truck and truck tires in the world. We want to be sure and do it in a way that
respects the earth and our living environment. We have been continually modifying
and improving our production processes to reduce the effects of global warming
and ozone depletion.
We are proud to have been awarded the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) "Certificate
of Appreciation" for developing techniques to phase out substances damaging
to the ozone layer.
Toyo has consistently led the industry in developing technology friendly to the
earth, that does not compromise the quality of our products, and is committed
to an ongoing contribution of global environment preservationt.
