GUTE  FARHT Rates Toyo T1-S As Best Overall Performer.

It was not too long ago that 16" tires were considered a choice among sport car or racing enthusiasts. With more and more production vehicles on the market carrying the 16" sizes the German automotive magazine decided to rate the ten most popular brands who supply this ever increasing common tire.

Using a Volkswagen Golf GTI and Audi A3 as the test vehicles the main characteristics compared was dry dandling, wet handling, wet braking, aquaplaning (longitudinal and transverse), rolling resistance, noise and comfort characteristics. The tire used as their medium point was the Michelin Pilot HX MXM as it was standard OE on both vehicles.

The Toyo T1-S proved itself over and over ranking at the top of many of the requirements set by Gute Fahrt. The strongest points of the Toyo product was the Wet Braking and aquaplaning characteristics proving that you can have a performance tire and not compromise on wet weather handling.

The final verdict from Gute Fahrt ... "Overall Winner of our test is the Toyo Proxes T1-S which can also be purchased at a reasonable price and looks good to boot."
