PROXES T1
SHINES IN TESTING IN GERMANY'S RALLYE RACING MAGAZINE
In
a comparative test of ten leading performance tires that
appeared in the September 1995 issue of Rallye Racing,
a German motor sports magazine very popular with young
people and automotive fans, Toyo's new Proxes-T1 earned
impressive scores in almost all test categories, and
was judged the best all-round tire.
The tests were conducted using an Audi A4 1.81 Quattro with 205/55ZR16 tires
on Goodyear's test track in the town of Mireval in southern France, a one-time
Formula 1 circuit.
The
tests were divided into performance on wet and dry roads, and

In all categories, Toyo scored
at or near the top, and was praised as, "sporty and precise without being
uncomfortable," and "an all-round tire without a weakness." Rallye
Racing rated the Proxes- T1 "very good" overall, its highest mark.
Moreover, if cost performance, a category excluded from thistest, had been taken
into account, the Proxes- T1 would have been the clear winner.
Toyo's newcomer has made a spectacular start and is ready to meet the growing
demand for comfortable and responsive driving.
