One of the worste enemies of tire life is rust from moisture
penetrating steel cord filaments.
Our sullution is a special rubber compound that protects the
third and fourth belts from rust migration into the belt package
caused by nicks and cuts.
We
call it "Belt Defender™". It increases
the adhesion between the tread and the steel belt for increased
belt durability as well as offering dramatic improvement in
retreadability.
Recent RAR studies involving several years and hundreds of
thousands of truck tires of all brands from North America's
largest re-treaders, has given Toyo high marks for its low
rejection rate. "Belt Defender™" simply
means higher casing acceptance and lower cost-per-mile in
the long run.
