Advanced Tread Design
The asymmetrical tread design of the SNOWPROX S952 is designed
for superior winter traction & dry road handling. The combination
of three wide grooves and one narrow groove improve water and slush
drainage helping to reduce hydroplaning. Large independent blocks
increase snow traction with added edge grip for cornering stability.
Toyo uses 3-D sipe technology within the tread design to increase
traction and braking in wet conditions and to help reduce irregular
wear. Optimizing the placement of shallow sipes results in improved
ice and snow grip without sacrificing dry or wet performance. The
optimized tread pattern harmonics ensure a quiet ride.

Increased circumferential void ratio with additional open slanted
blocks improves cornering grip, straight-ahead traction and braking
in snow.

High silica content enhances wet grip and braking, while maintaining

ice. Revolutionary silica compounding diminishes the threat of
aquaplaning and reduces rolling resistance. The results are reduced

with vehicles equipped with ABS braking systems. Flexible tread
compound provides excellent winter and wet traction and the low
heat generation base compounds ensure high speed durability and
wear resistance.
